Chilean designer Luz Briceño began making ''duck style'' face masks, after benefitting from every certification, clinical test and the material itself. The style resembles a duck's beak, allowing for the mouth and nose to become permanently isolated from the fabric, providing freedom and protection for the user.

Chile also aims to seize its position as the world's main copper producer in order to make a contribution. Copper 3D (note from the editor: in French) has embarked upon fabricating and printing in 3D reusable copper face masks based on a polymer in which copper nanoparticles are injected.
